I have heard recently that in the Hanafi Madhab, they say that saying “Rabbighfir lee” is not a Rukn in Salah. So if a person does not say it and does not do Sajdah Sahw, their prayer is valid. The Madhab apparently says that what is important is that a person sat long enough in between the two Sajdah to have said it, whether they actually said it or not. Is this true and authentic?

The most authentic opinion is that it’s mandatory to say it between the two prostrations.
