A cousin of mine named her son Muhammad Zarraar ضرار after a commander companion of prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) Zarraar bin Azwar Asadi. But on the other hand, it also means “most harming”. Is it ok to have this name? They thought that it must be harming against enemies of Islam.

The name is permissible but the spelling is totally wrong. It should be Dhirar.
