ANSWER:

You should do good deeds to seek Allah’s pleasure and to gain rewards and while making dua you can use this as a form of waseela. 

We know that making du’a through out good deeds is permissible. My Q is, Should I do a good deed(s) with the intention that I want to make du’aa to this good deed that I’m going to do? Or should I do good deeds for the sake of Allah (to earn His Pleasure)?
