No need to be confused.

The only source that we can learn Allah’s names and attributes is the Quran and Sunnah.

There isn’t any verse or hadeeth that tells us what are these 99 names but there are speculations of scholars whether a particular set of names are actual names or attributes.

Therefore, whenever we hear the claim that this name belongs to Allah, we check the Quran and Sunnah to find out if this is true or not.

There’s a book called Imam al-Ghazali’s Al-Asma al-Husna.The Imam made a list of the 99 names of Allah.I have already memorized this 99 names. May 12, 2012 – 23:17 — contribute But last time I asked you concerning the meaning of 2 of the names (Al Jaleel and Al Baqi) which were on the list of Imam al-Ghazali, and you told me that these names are not mentioned in any ayah or authentic hadeeth. So can you comment on this because I am confused ?
