If it is a reliable charitable organization and you trust that they would give it to the poor and needy Muslims, this seems permissible.

There is an organization in Pakistan that is working with an organization in Turkey to deliver Food Packages and Kitchen sets to the Syrian refugees. Each box cost Rs. 1750 (either for food package or kitchen set). Can we use a portion of our Zakat to fund those food packages?
