ANSWER:

On Silver.

The threshold (nisab) of money is the value of 595 grams of silver which is about 476$. You try and set a date and on that day, you calculate how much you have and give 2.5% in zakat. Every lunar year, you do this process on that date.

Sheikh, I have started a job and earning a decent amount mashallah. But i’m not married and yet living with my parents. Do i need to give zakat as an individual or if my father gives zakat that will suffice mine?
