Allah’s names and attributes are divided into two types: one that can only be used by Allah such as Al Rahman, Allah, AL Qu’doos, As’salam etc.

The other type can be used by others as an adjective such as Al Ra’oof, Al Raheem, Al Kareem, Al Al’lim, Alhakeem etc. These are shared attributes that can be used by people while their intention is that there is nothing similar or like Allah.

Somebody ask about your name..and he try to convince us that to say Assim Al Hakeem is wrong and not permisible(a form of shirk)…How can we explain for him?
