Calling the dead and asking them is shirk! This is exactly what the idol
worshippers said and Allah called them disbelievers:

UNQUESTIONABLY, FOR ALLAH IS THE PURE RELIGION. AND THOSE WHO TAKE
PROTECTORS BESIDES HIM [SAY], “WE ONLY WORSHIP THEM THAT THEY MAY BRING
US NEARER TO ALLAH IN POSITION.” INDEED, ALLAH WILL JUDGE BETWEEN THEM
CONCERNING THAT OVER WHICH THEY DIFFER. INDEED, ALLAH DOES NOT GUIDE HE
WHO IS A LIAR AND [CONFIRMED] DISBELIEVER. 39:3

Sir I can find people who go to shrines and pray there, when I asked one of them that why is he praying to graves when it is a shirk, the reply was ” I am not praying to him (the one whose shrine is), I am asking him to pray for me to Allah “. My question is, Is it allowed to pray in such a way? If no,how can I prove it according to Quran?
