ANSWER:

It is not permissible for a muslim to attend non muslim religious functions or their marriages and you must not go to eat at their place if you know they would serve haram food or drinks or if there’s free mixing there. 

Since i live in a non Muslim country (Sri Lanka, has 75%-Buddists,11%-Hindus and 10%-Muslims) is it “OK” to participate if the Non Muslims “INVITE” me for food? and should i request them PLEASE use HALAL Chicken or Beef, or say nothing and participate whilst not consuming any of the Non-HALAL items? Kindly advice.
