Should we make the dua’a if we are in the bathroom/shower, or should we wait until after we leave the bathroom? I read on islamqa that Shaykh bin Baaz said it’s permissible to say Bismillah in the bathroom before doing ghusl/wudu. Does the same apply to the dua’a AFTER wudu?

ANSWER:

It is permissible to say Bismillah in your heart, without moving your lips in the washroom. However, you should say the dua immediately, as soon as you step out of the toilet.

During winters we apply moisturizers such as petroleum jelly over the face and hands. Do I need to clean it thoroughly with soap & water before making wudhu or is my wudhu valid with those remaining applied?
