ANSWER:

This is absolutely prohibited in Islam. Courtship is not part of Islam, engagement does not make her halal for you to hang out with as she’s still your non mahram untill the marriage.

Sheikh,yesterday I asked my mom how to know a girl before marriage(i.e the way she talks or responds, her attitude etc.)she told me that after engagement we go out together,talk and she called it courtship, she said if the girl finds something wrong in the boy or the boy finds something wrong in the girl, the wedding can be cancelled before it is performed. Is this allowed in Islam
