ANSWER:

This is permissible, if the mother doesn’t mind the casualness and informality. However, there is a thin line between disrespect and being causal with her. Besides, sometimes you would cross the line without paying any attention to that which might win you the wrath of Allah.

My parents r married but live in two seperate countries. And when I stay with either one of them, I always witness them cheating on each-other. I haven’t caught any of them with zina but I have seen my mum talk with other men and I have also witnessed my dad get a random woman’s phone number.
