ANSWER:

Tell him that you want to be a boy but you can’t as this is how Allah had created you! Show him that boys can only be boys and girls can only be girls! Show him that you need a man to protect you and his sister and you depend on him to do that. Try to encourage his manly feelings to be more prevalent and make Duaa that he becomes a real strong man.

Sheikh, please advise me. I am a solo mother of 3 good kids. Girl 7, boys 3 & 1. My 3yo loves me and his sister a lot. His father is not around anymore. He often asked to be a girl. Today he asked to go to Allah and ask Him to change him (my son) into a girl. He’s so little, he’s not getting this from TV, he doesn’t leave me for day care so no external influences.
