ANSWER:

If one is working against Islam and Muslims, their salary is haram.

Also, if they are taking cases and applying the rule of secular states, this is forbidden as one can only rule with the Islamic law except in cases that he is defending the rights of the oppressed and the likes.

 

Sheikh i wanted to know whether in a democracy it is okay to be a lawyer (private or gov). Would becoming a lawyer mean to rule by law other than the one decreed? I want to be a lawyer and not a judge.
