Your marriage to her must be through the Islamic court. If there isn’t one, it should be through the authorized Imam of the Islamic center who would act as her Wali and not any man you bring from the streets .

Recently, I have married a revert girl who is 16. local imam was her wali and 4 Muslims and three muslimah witnessed it. Her wali suggested to hide the marriage from her family but unfortunately our families are informed of this marriage. Both of our families extremely violated it.
