Can we give in charity the interest received from bank on our a/c? Charities like -on studies, marraige, medical of our poor relatives.

Yes, you can but this is not a charity per se, but rather cleansing your money from such forbidden income. Of course this is in the case that you are forced to take it and there are no other current accounts that don’t give interest on deposites.

I pray Fajr in Jama3a every day, I read at least a Juz' of the Quran each day, I pray all my prayers on time, but I have one sin which I constantly committ, does ALLAH or the Prophet (pbuh) talk about average people?

December 26, 2011 - 23:43 — contribute

No one is perfect. These good deeds you are doing are great and it is a sign that you are on the right path. However, this sin is doing is a stain that you should try to clean. This doesn’t mean that you are a hypocrite but it requires that you repent and feel deep remorse so that Allah would forgive you. so many times, Satan beautifies our own good deeds so that we are encouraged to sin as we have a lot of credit in our good deeds records. So, be careful.

In the past I bought a house with interest. Now I have decided to sell it, but then I will have to rent and that is more expensive than a mortage with interest.

December 26, 2011 - 23:41 — contribute

If you got the house in the past without knowing, you shouldn’t sell the house as this would suffer loss and you will still pay the interest remaining. If they will keep on increasing the rate of interest due to inflation prices, you should sell. But if the final price is set and whether you will sell or not, they will still charge the same amount, continue paying the installments because the harm has been already done.

I have been researching upon the different methods for offering the witr prayer

December 26, 2011 - 23:34 — contribute

Witr means odd number.

The Sunnah is to offer witr in 3, 5, 7 or 9 rak'ah.

One rak'ah alone does the job. However, the best is to pray it as 3 rak'ah as the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam used to do.

You can do this either by praying two rak'ah and then offering salam and after that praying one rak'ah or you can pray 3 rak'ah without sitting in the second rak'ah and then giving salam after the third rak'ah.

If you die firmly believing in ALLAH and making shahadah and you were sincere in all the hasana you did throughout your life but your bad deeds outweigh your good what will happen to that person on the Day of Judgement?

December 26, 2011 - 23:30 — contribute

It is all depends on the scale. Therefore, if the good deeds over weighs the bad deeds, one will be in Paradise. But if the bad deeds overweighs the good deeds, he is in trouble.

Of course, there is the mercy of Allah and there is the intercession of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and the righteous.
