My sister in law is asking if she cannot afford to give zakat al mal of her assets like the gold she own. Can her husband pay for it?

ANSWER:

Her husband is not obliged to pay it, however, if she authorizes him and he willingly accepts, this is permissible. Otherwise, she must sell some of it to pay her zakat.

If one forgets exactly when the money reached the nisaab, when should one give Zakaat? I think the nisaab reached in the month of September, but don’t know the exact date.
