As long as you’re doing the obligations towards your family and they
don’t miss any of the necessities of life, this is ok.

My relatives especially my in-laws call me Stingy/Miser, is this allowed in Islam? It is important to share the background with you, basically I believe Moderation as prescribed by Prophet (PBUH) and based on this Islamic value I refrain from buying branded things for myself & family, I am very particular about NOT taking any DEBTS to fulfill needs or desires.
