If you bought it to sell it and it is displayed for sale so that you can sell it and buy another one and so on, the answer is yes: you must give zakat for every year that had passed, according to the market price at each year.

My question is that if one needs to pay Zakat on the Property (plots, non agricultural land etc.) which is purchased for the intention of investment? e.g. I purchased a plot for X mount and then for next 5 years it remains with me so during all these years do i have to pay Zakat on this plot value?
