Leather items which come from pigs is prohibited. If it is not indicated from which animal the leather is made from, in sha Allah there is no sin on you for using these items because the majority of
what is in the market is from halal animals and it was tanned before sold.

My question is pertaining to leather items which men wear at office, for instance shoes/ belts etc. If we are buying shoes, belts etc and don’t know about the type of leather which is being used. Are these items Halal. For instance if the Shoe is made of a Haram animal’s skin but when we don’t know is it Halal
