Using such bottles for decoration is like endorsing wine and bringing a bad name to your family. Any muslim would doubt you for this!

My parents had interest in collecting old wine bottles; sometimes used some of them for storing water. They didnt consume wine, but didnt know that collection isnt allowed. Now we have a lot of bottles in our house. Throwing these away feels like wasting. Is it okay to use them for decoration? What about keeping water in them since these are very old and repeatedly washed?
