ANSWER:

It is not permissible for a woman to be called by anything other than her real father’s name. There is nothing in islam as adoption and this family you are living with are all non mahram to you and total strangers that you must not mix with!

My parents gave my custody to my current family when i was 6. I am legally adopted in my current family. I am soon to be married in sha Allah. I want to know whose name should be on my nikah papers. My custodians or my real father?

sheikh, in our society the parents of male groom doesn’t do the congrats of marriage date fixing because they are dominant being the family of a boy. Therefore my family has decided we will not give them the call of congrats otherwise they would feel themselves superior and we Don wanna support their dominancy nd pride bcz in islam all are equal .
