Doesn’t matter! Let him divorce you, it’s better to live single than be with a man who has no jealousy and who takes his wife and children to such gatherings! Tell him straight away that you cannot be part of such haram and wouldn’t allow yours kids as well. Talk to his parents and yours if needed but never compromise your religion. 

My Muslim (but distanced from faith) husband insists that we and our two kids attend a party which involves men and women drinking alcohol. I wear the hijab and would feel awkward about being in such a crowd. How do I avoid this situation? Refusing him is yet another reason for him to hate and divorce me.
