Nowadays, marriages should be authenticated by a certified Imam so
that no tampering would occur in the future.
This is to protect the woman’s rights.

My friend wants her father to perform her nikaah at home is this permissable or does it have to be an imaam or an outsider who does the nikaah? And what must be included for the nikaah to be acceptable? Eg. To ask three times, mahr agreement etc.
