Lying is a major sin. You must pretend to be offended when someone asks such questions, express your anger and dodge the question or change the topic. 

Muslims are not allowed to expose there sins to other, what if someone asks me if you have done that particular thing or in other word asks me about something that i’m not allowed to answer because it will expose my sin to them. So how am i supposed to answer them? because obviously lying is not an option.
