The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: the fasting is the day when you (the community) fast and the break of fast (for Eid) is the day you break your fasting.

This means that you should follow the Islamic leadership in your country or the majority of Muslims.

Is that is it permissible for me to just join my local mosque (which also follows the opinion that it is sufficient that the moon is seen anywhere in the world) even though I think this isn’t the correct way ?or should I stick to the opinion I hold to be right and look for the moon by myself?
