Reciting the Fatiha after the Imam in loud rak’ah such as Fajr prayer and the first two rak’ah of Maghrib and Isha, this is an issue of dispute among scholars.

Some say it is mandatory to recite it after the Imam finishes reciting it even if he doesn’t leave a gap between it and the surah after it.

Others say that as long as the Imam had read it, you must not read it.

Ibn Taimiyah may Allah have mercy on his soul gathered all the evidences and concluded that reciting it is recommended but not mandatory as long as the Imam have read it loudly. This is the most authentic opinion.

In an answer of a question to told in salah when there is loud recitation we should recite fatiha after imam finishesbut we will not be able to concentrate on the surah which he recites after fatiha,further more we will feel disturbance in reciting it. What is the actual time to recitr it as i recite it when imam recites it.
