ANSWER:

Helping others is one of the greatest deeds , and it is the way to get the help and support from Allah. However, you cannot help people in everything. You can just give them what you are able to give materially and morally without over burdening yourself because this will lead you to stop all the good you do. However, if you give not for the sake of Allah and start to feel superior to others and that you are doing people a favor and they should be grateful and appreciative and respect you for that, it is best to stop all of this before it ruins your good deeds!

Im a helping person but mostly i feel people take advantage of me and start asking from me more. I feel i lend them a hand and they try to pull my arms and feet. My friend says that you should keep helping as you will get reward for it. But i feel that islam doesn’t promote being used either and believes in mutual benefit. Please enlighten on to what extent a person should help and when to say no?
