ANSWER:

It is the responsibility of all the children to look after the parents, both financially and physically, however if the parents are self sufficient, it’s not obligatory for the children to give them money nor they are obliged to pay them back anything they had given them in the past such as food, shelter or education. 

If I earn should I give my earning to my parents? Is it an obligation to a daughter to spend for her parents though they have sufficient income? My mom always threaten ,that she only spent for our studies, so we should give our earnings to her,if not we’ll be sinful. Kindly clarify this issue sheikh. May the Almighty Allah reward you.
