You are not obliged to obey them but you are highly recommended as if you look further down the line, you will see more trouble when you have children and your parents don’t want to see them as well!

I live in Canada and face a problem regarding interracial marriage. I am an Arab and want to marry a black woman and my parents oppose this strongly and say they will disown me if I do. Am I obligated to obey them with regards to this?
