Make him aware that smoking is considered haram. Show him clearly how much you despise this sin and how you are repelled by its smell.

Explain him the consequences of smoking and its effects on him and inshaa Allah on the child which you will bear. In sha Allah he will quit it.

I had my nikkah but not had any marital relation with my husband yet as we live in different counties and hope to have the waleema in a few months time. My husband is somewhat a person with good character, prays etc. However he informed me only after the nikkah that he occasionally smokes. Am I expected to divorce him for this reason as its haram or I stay in the marriage and make Dua he changes
