During funerals according to my ethnic tradition,we have about 250 people attending to read Quran, duas,& we hire a person or family members cook an entire feast for guests for the sake of hospitality (not for sake of dead) after the Janazah. This become expensive & burdensome for grieving families because they are sad & don’t want to do anything. Is providing a meal to guests after Janazah Islamic?

This is not permissible to do and neither to attend. This is an innovation.
