QUESTION: Sheikh my father does udhiyah every year اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ and that is one lamb for the family of 4 who lives under him; including himself ( my brother lives abroad with his wife and two kids and he sometimes either share the money or do it completely. I have been earning for 1.5 year and i saved money from comity to do it this year. Sheikh i wanted to know if i can pay for it under my mother’s name

ANSWER: This udhiya is sufficient for your father and all those living under his roof regardless whether they are earning or not. Your brother who lives abroad has to offer his own on behalf of himself and his family.

QUESTION: Is it OK to do niat for qurban for the whole family with 1 sheep/goat ? (As this is what we can afford) or better for only 1 person each year in turn? Please advise

QUESTION: Sheikh, Cattle Owners are told to bring their animals to nearest veterinaries to pierce Ear Tags into their ears for identification with a registration number.. It’s happening worldwide. Does that make our animals ineligible for sacrifices as there’s a hole in their ears?

Sheikh is it true that when a family has a qurbani during eid, the members of that family should not kill any insect or an animal until the sacrifice is done ?

Sheikh, we know 7 families can sacrifice 1 cow. Now, if one of the families provided money earned from haram sources will the udhiya be invalid for all other families as well?

Sheikh in the place where I live, the government has banned beef and slaughter of cattle for any cause. But some people do it secretly. Is doing this permissible? Will my qurbaani be accepted if I have to go against the law and of my land do it?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. It’s not permissible to get in trouble with the law like this and make things even more difficult for the whole muslim community because of such irresponsible actions! One can slaughter a ram, a goat or a camel without any problem.
