Sheikh, what is more rewarding and important? To learn Arabic so I could understand the Qur’an or to memorize it? I want to do both but finding it difficult to do both at the same time…

ANSWER: Learning the Arabic language to understand Qur’an is more rewarding. However, it’s best if you give time to both.

Sheikh can we put something on Quran? Like any daily use thing. Vaseline or any cream etc.

Can woman in their menses recite Surah IKHLAS before going to bed? I heard that they can, but instead of beginning with “Qul huwa Allahu ahad” they should begin “huwa Allahu ahad”

ANSWER: Women in their menses can recite all the adhkar without any problem. What you have heard is absolutely baseless and fabricated! You must recite all the surahs normally.

if people do innovations like quran khatm and tasbeeh for the deceased etc. Will the deceased be punished for it in the grave?

ANSWER: If he ordered it, yes he will. If not, he won’t be affected by it.

is it permissible if I read Surah Al Kahf on Jum’aa in 2 breaks. I usually read half after fajr salah and remaining half before jum’aa khutbah. Or Is it must or more rewarding to read full Surah at one time only. Please answer

ANSWER: No problem in this. When is the appropiate time i should read surah al kahf on friday (is it on thursday night or on friday during day time)?

I recite Quran sitting on a bed, when the sijda ayah comes i put the quran by my side and don’t stand and while sitting do the sijda on bed, is this ok?

ANSWER: This is permissible. Sajdah for recitation is not mandatory and you can skip it.

In India people say that a Hifz Qur’an will take with himself 10 people to Jannah. I want to know is this true or not.

ANSWER: There is no punishment mentioned however, you must try to revise it to the best of your ability. Find a good relatable friend who shares your compassion for the Quran and revise a fixed portion every day like clockwork.

I have seen clips of women reciting Quran to Sheikh , in tv programs to correct their Tajweed. Is this allowed? If yes, is it because women’s voice is not awrah?
