I use the Indian style toilet to relieve myself. After finishing doing the istinja of the back passage with my left hand, has my hand become impure? I have used my hand to clean the impurity with water but does that make my hand impure.

ANSWER: If your hand has managed to clean your anus, this means that the water used has also cleaned your hands. If there are no signs of impurity on your hand, this means it is pure.

Shaykh. If we are in a state of impurity and time for salah is running out, can we do tayammum instead of ghusl?

QUESTION: No, this is not permissible.

I suffer from cervical ectropion from 4 years and have abnormal vaginal discharge ever since. It is getting very difficult to wash my private parts before every salah. Excessive washing is making the vaginal health worse and washing so often caused severe contact dermatitis on hands. Can I combine prayers? And is it sufficient to run water over the private area instead of washing to attain purity?

While making niyyah for prayer, is it enough to mentally know that I will be prayer Fardh or Sunnah of certain prayer, or do I have to silently say in mind that I will pray this prayer?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to say it in your mind. Your niyyah is in your intention, heart and actions. No need to verbalize it.

If after wudhu wind passes, should we make complere wudhu with astanja or onl wudhu without astanja is enough

My husband wants to know when wadhi or madhi comes out, and it is in a very very less amount, can he wipe it out with tissue and make wadhu for prayer? Instead of washing it with water?

ANSWER: It is permissible to wipe impurities when it comes out of the private part like urine, wadi or mathi. However, it is best with mathi to wash it off as well as washing the testicles as per the instruction of the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam.

In fard ghusl is it mandatory to rinse mouth andd nose 3 times or can we rinse any number of times?

ANSWER: It’s sufficient even if you rinse only once.

If wet impurity like urine touches other clothes but there is no traces of it on other clothes do we still need to wash it. Does it make other clothes impure?

Is it true that Prophet Muhammad PBUH didn’t used to answer salam if he was not in the state of wudu? And if it is true, then is it makruh or haram to answer salam when we are not in the state of wudu?

ANSWER: The consensus among scholars is that it is permissible to mention Allah’s names while in the state of minor and major impurity. This means that the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam simply didn’t want to mention Allah’s name except while in the state of purity.

Is it suffienct to wash wadi and madhi by taking a handful of water and putting it over it? Before I used to just wipe them off with wet hands until no more whiteness remains is that wrong?

ANSWER: If you are referring to your private part, this would be sufficient. But if the impurity is on your clothes, you need to wash impurities off and squeeze it until it is gone. With mathi, sprinkling it with water and running it over it is sufficient.
