QUESTION: Is it compulsory to wash the inside inner whole of the navel during ritual bath or just the outer.

ANSWER: Water must reach the inside.

QUESTION: Sheikh, is it allowed for us to pass urine in the urinals standing making sure it doesn’t splash on us? as the toilet seats in public & office restrooms are always very dirty.

ANSWER: This is permissible providing no one else can see your awrah and that you cleanse yourself properly afterwards.

QUESTION: Here in Pakistan there is a perception that in winter it is not mandatory for females to take full bath after sexual intercourse with their husbands which includes washing of whole hair instead they wipe over their heads and consider this a whole bath! Would appreciate if this question can be clarified please.

ANSWER: This ghusul is invalid. They must wash the whole head and the hair thoroughly.

QUESTION: On having thoughts of attraction that cause discharge is bath necessary or only wudu is needed

ANSWER: This is mathi which is impure and you must wash the affected areas, change your underwear and renew your wudu before praying but it doesn’t require ghusl.

QUESTION: Is it okay to use soap and shampoo while doing gushl according to sunnah to uplift major ritual impurity? Can i wash my beard at the end before washing feet?

ANSWER: No problem in using soap and shampoo before or after ghusl. It is best to segregate it though by having your ghusul first then shampooing later.

QUESTION: According to Islam new day(next day) starts after maghrib. So if for eg today is Thursday and so after Thursday’s maghrib, Friday has started so does it mean that we can recite surah ka’af after maghrib on a thursday ?

ANSWER: No. You should recite it from fajr of Friday until maghrib of Friday as the reward is in reciting it during the day time.

QUESTION: Generally after gushl, I recite the shahada followed by the dua on completion of wudu i.e “Allahumma ja’alnee min attawabeena… “. But I didn’t find any specific dua to be recited after gushl in fortress of Muslims. Is there any prescribed dua from sunnah after gushl for men?

ANSWER: There is no dua after ghusl, either for men or women.

QUESTION: Can a person wear gloves and hold the Quran without being pure?

ANSWER: No problem. However, if they are junoob (major sexual impurity), its not permissible to recite the Quran.

QUESTION: If the pubic hairs grow long. Is prayer accepted?

ANSWER: These are two separate things! You’re sinful for not removing the pubic hair but this has no impact on your prayers.

QUESTION: Is it allowed to permanently remove private part hairs ?

ANSWER: You can do that if it’s medically safe but it’s not permissible to let anyone else do it for you as its an awrah even before the same gender.
