From Bangladesh. Toddlers have some toys that have all the colors of the rainbow. They are introduced to different colors through toys. Some young Islamic thinkers forbid giving these toys to children. According to them, it could lead to future homosexuality of children. How logical is that?

ANSWER: This is not logical at all! Why not prevent them from looking at the sky after it stops raining so that they won’t see rainbow colors as well? No problem in kids playing with normal colorful toys.

ANSWER: This is not permissible. It’s only permissible for young kids to play with. It is permissible to give children toys that have the shape of humans or animals. It is not permissible to have these drawings on the clothes of children.

As a parent to 21 yr old twins (boy n girl) Alhamdulillah I tried giving them knowledge of both the worlds so after this can I keep control of what they do? Like see who they are friends with , check their phones , ask them not to lock their room doors, not let them hangout with friends like other kids do. I have been married for 12 years. My in-laws have always been mentally and physically abusive to me and my 2 kids. ANSWER: It’s not obligatory upon you at all to maintain ties with your in-laws. However, it’s mandatory upon your kids to maintain ties with their paternal family, you have no right whatsoever in stopping them from meeting their grandparents and uncles and aunts etc.

ANSWER: There’s no prescribed age for this and it varies from child to child as not every child has the same temperment and intelligence or grasping capabilities.

In my friend’s family, when a child is born, they ask a Baba/molvi for baby’s name. He somehow figures out that baby’s name must start with M or S or whatever. They believe that if they don’t name their baby starting with the alphabet their Molvi told, it will not be good for the baby. I know this is a total innovation but I can’t find anything to support this fact and correct my friend.
