QUESTION: Sheikh! I read it at many places that Allah gives you whatever you ask for if you pray 40 days tahajjud continuously. Can you please comment on the authenticity of this?

My family members before praying recite “I have turned my face in complete devotion to the One Who created the heavens and the earth, and I am not one of the polytheists” and they do this before the starting of first salah they are offering at a particular time. Eg:- Before 2 rakahs of fajr sunnah, before 2 rakahs of zuhr sunnah

QUESTION: My question is, here in subcontinent some mosques give salaam/salaat on prophets in loud speakers after the taraweeh prayer(mostly given by children)..is this permissible? When I say people it’s not appropriate,they say what’s wrong in giving salutations to the prophets and also they say that this is done in order to encourage children to pray all 20 rakah of taraweeh.

ANSWER: No problem. Covering the head while reciting Quran or listening to it is not from the sunnah, hence its an innovation.

QUESTION: There’s a calendar during Ramadan that specifies what to recite and how many rakaa’a to perform after Taraweeh and before you go to sleep but it is not mandatory. It goes from the first night to the last night. For example it will say “first night perform 6 rakaa in each you recite one fatiha, one surah al Qadr and four surah Al Qafirun”.. is this an innovation or is it permissible to perform?
