QUESTION: I was wondering if we go moose hunting and of course, it’s not an easy thing to slaughter moose our religious way, so if we shot the moose and it dies before we get to run the knife would it still be permissible for us to eat?

ANSWER: This is permissible providing you say bismillah before shooting it. If you reach it alive, you must slaughter it. But if it died due to the shot, this is halal meat.

QUESTION: If something is bought through riba, does that count as something you bought with haram money and have to give sadaqah in the worth of the product? Because my earnings are halal in shaa Allah but the way of purchase was not.

ANSWER: If a person buys something permissible with a riba-based loan, he has to repent to Allaah, and there is nothing wrong with him keeping or making use of the permissible thing, and he does not have to sell it.

QUESTION: I have a fist length beard. From the sides, near the ear it is getting curly and looks messy because of uneven hair. I tried oiling and combing but doesn’t help. So, Can I trim it a bit from the sides just so that it looks good and clean? Please explain.

ANSWER: This is not permissible.

QUESTION: A marriage proposal is going on. the girl’s father’s name contains the word ‘Rahman’ without abdul. If they don’t want to or refuse to change it should I refuse the proposal even if she is righteous? because father’s name is obligatory to write in the marriage registry in our country. Will the sin of shirk be upon me If this name is on my marriage registry?

ANSWER: No need to refuse the proposal if the girl is righteous. After the marriage she should try to change the name officially and meanwhile, she should only be called after Abdurahman.

QUESTION: Lots of people hv been complaining to me and my father that I’m not social enough and I stay inside the home all the time.Becuz of this my father is making me physically go to a university to study instead of online cls.I can try and persuade him not to but he’s very strict and I’m scared of him.If he forces me am I (girl) allowed to go?

ANSWER: You should not attend mixed universities even if he is strict and forces you to go. Simply put your foot down and say no.

QUESTION: Is the hadith authentic which says, who sleeps between Asr and Maghrib should not blame but himself if he loses his mind?

ANSWER: This is not a Hadith. No problem in sleeping after Asr if you wake up in time for magrib.

QUESTION: Is it permissible to punish myself by ibadah/donation to keep myself away from sin, like if I smoke again /lie again I will pray 20 rakat nafl or donate 200 dollars etc. Is it bidah?

ANSWER: This is not from the sunnah and it would lead to hating such forms of worship and consider it burdensome.

QUESTION: If one earns haram his dua is rejected now if one makes dua by raising hands and praises Allah and reads durood and asks Allah for forgiveness for any sin will this be accepted as this person is making dua in general for repentance but dua is rejected if he earns haram but is the dua for forgiveness accepted

ANSWER: The owl is not considered to be bad in Islam however, having a keychain of it is not permissible and it is even worse if this is in 3D, similar to a statue.
