I heard that if one has not performed hajj before and he/she performs umrah in the month of shawwal or dhul qadah then hajj become obligatory on him/her that year. If yes then does it apply on locals living inthe kingdom?

ANSWER: What you have heard is baseless. There’s no problem whatsoever in making umrah in these months without having the obligation to make hajj.

I’m adopted so can my mother perform hajj with my husband ? As I’m adopted so he becomes non-mahram for her and there is no other mehrams in my family who can perform hajj with my mother and my mother is above 60 years.what to do in this situation if there is no mehram

ANSWER: It’s not permissible for her to travel with him or go for hajj as he’s a total stranger to her and she must cover in front of him at all times. If she doesn’t have a male mahram to accompany her for hajj then hajj is not mandatory upon her.

I want to ask that people say when u look at the kaaba for the first time in real and make dua, it will surely be accepted. So is this true?

We know Islam prohibits Free mixing, but what about when we go for Umrah or Hajj in Makkah where there is free mixing when people do tawaf and Sa’ee. Is this not considered as free mixing?

ANSWER: It is not permissible to perform hajj or umrah on behalf of anyone else before you had done it yourself at least once in your lifetime. You can delegate someone trustworthy who has already done hajj before and give that money to them to do hajj on your father’s behalf.

In bukhari narrated by adin bin hatim a hadith where prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said ‘U will see a women travel from al hira on a howdal to perform tawaf safely”, some people used this as an affirmation of women travelling alone in other citi & also they justify women riding bicycles on her own as here the woman travel om howdal alone.is it ok?plz enumerate the meaning of this hadith?

My mom did her Hajj in days when we were settled in Jeddah . She went without mahram.My Dad was with us kids in Jeddah. she was told from Jeddah to makkah is not a travel so can do so. ANSWER: What they say is correct. For Hajj the male mahram accompanying women is required even if it’s not a traveling distance. She’s sinful for not making hajj with her male mahram but the hajj is valid.
