QUESTION: I am one of the seven sisters and the only one who has completed the Hajj. The Hajj committee does not permit individuals to undertake the Hajj more than once, so I am unable to perform Hajj Badal on behalf of my deceased parents. Is it possible for any of my sisters or our sons who haven’t performed Hajj, to perform Hajj Badal and can a person perform Hajj badal if Hajj is fard on him/her?

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible. The one doing hajj on behalf of someone else must do his hajj before, at least once in his lifetime. You can pay someone else to do that if they had performed their hajj before.

QUESTION: Can we women wear shoes or things above the ankle in ihram the prohibition of wearing sewn this is only for men right

ANSWER: Women can wear shoes and normal clothes without a problem in Ihram She is obliged not to wear the niqab or gloves.

QUESTION: I’m disabled and my feet are deformed and I have little control over them. It’s much easier to walk with shoes as this creates support for my feet. Is it ok to wear shoes that are below the ankles for umrah/hajj due to necessity ? Sandals or otherwise would make it very difficult for me.

ANSWER: You can wear such shoes and expiate due to necessity by doing only one of the three following things: 1- slaughter a sheep and distribute the meat to the poor round the haram area 2- feed six poor people 1.5 kg of rice 3- fast 3 days.

QUESTION: I wanted to ask about making du’a after praying the 2 rakaat behind Maqaam Ibrahim during Umrah. I was recently advised by a friend that this is not from the Sunnah as the Prophet ﷺ used to continue his Umrah after praying here and did not make du’a. I wanted to ask what is the validity of this and is it okay if I make du’a occasionally after these 2 rakaat

ANSWER: This is not from the sunnah. You can make all the duaa you want while doing tawaf or during sa’ee

QUESTION: Is it possible for anyone to go for Hajj or umrah without Allah’s invitation? I heard some scolers says that Hajj or umrah is the invitation of Allah. Only choosen people can get this chance but some people argue that people are not so good how can they are invited by Allah? I really don’t know how to answer them.

ANSWER: There is no such thing as invitation by Allah! If Allah wills it, people can go to perform hajj.

ANSWER: It is not a source of barakah. Therefore, it is minor shirk as such a belief is baseless.

QUESTION: If a person is performing voluntary tawwaf (not umrah) and due to a lot of rush they couldnt complete the tawwaf and had to leave haram as they may miss their flight. What is the ruling about this? Is there any compensation?
