I have heard during my 3 months to wait after divorce i can not even talk with another man on marriage until the period of 3 months waiting has ended?

The waiting period is three monthly cycles and you can’t entertain any proposals as you are still married to him until the Iddah is over.

After five years of no contact and maintenance, ex comes back and after two months of saying he’ll start paying up and disappearing,now says we dont have right to demand,he will pay when he wants to, but first he wants to meet the girls.Isn’t this wrong? Dont my brothers and father have a right to say first pay up to this horrible excuse of a father!? Five years sheikh!

He is sinful and accountable by law to pay. However, this doesn’t deprive him from his rights to meet his girls and to be with them. File a case against him at court demanding that he pays the backpay of 5 years and to ensure he pays on regular basis from now on.

Divorce only takes place if your husband is the one doing it or he authorized his father or anyone else to divorce you on his behalf.

My wife consistently asked for divorce and finally gave her a divorce letter perhaps she may recind her decision. At a family meeting she rather accused me of divorcing her. Upon this I told her if that’s case I’m no longer divorcing you. I said this a day before her ida ended. She stayed and left after 3months.she now wants come back. Do I have to REMARRY HER again?

If this was the first or second divorce and you said this with the intention of revoking the divorce and she stayed with you for three months and then left, you are still married.

If a person accepts that he has divorced her wife 3 times with a gap of about 1 year and his wife knows only about one time divorce (last time that he has divorced her in the presence of some people). No body else including his wife knows about the previous two divorces. In this situation, divorce occurred or not. Please guide me urgently.

This divorce took place with no Doubt! It is not necessary for the wife to know about it. Once he uttered it, it took place! If this was the 3rd time, she is irrevocably divorced with him and she is forbidden for him as a wife.

Married since 20 years having 2 kids, then got married second secretly without telling the first wife, but second wife knows that I am married, then 2nd wife broke secret of our marriage to my 1 St wife in spite of me warning her not to do. If he intended it as divorce, it counts as one divorce.

My husband used to drink alcohol and when ever i ask not to do that he recite kalma that he will not do that again and then he go there again and consume alcohol repeatedly. Once I asked him that if he ever consume alcohol again , will i be divorced and he said yes if he ever do that again you get 3 divorces and after 10 minutes he went to alcohol party and consumed alcohol. is the divorce valid

This depends on his intention. If he intended to divorce, the divorce took place only once. If not, this was an oath that must be expiate by feeding ten poor people. It is very weird that you ask for your own divorce like this!

It depends on the woman! If she is unable to be in such a polygamous marriage because she is unable to control herself and be a good wife, she has the right to ask for divorce.
