ANSWER:

It is not permissible to chit chat or talk unnecessarily with non mahrams and this ruling is given by Allah. 

There’s no obedience to the created at the cost of disobedience to the Creator. If the parents have no problem, Islam has! 

Can we talk to a non-mahram if her parents have no problem??
