ANSWER:

Praying salah for the reward to reach your parents or for the protection of the family is absolutely not permissible as it’s an innovation. 

Everything good that your parents taught you, it’s reward would reach them automatically whenever you do that, including praying.

Can we offer Nawafil everyday for Maghfirat of parents and for ourselves and our family’s protection?
