Celebrating Valentine’s day is forbidden because it is imitating the non Muslims in their social practices that go against our religion as our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam had said: and whoever imitates a group of people, he is considered to be among them.

Muslims believe that one day a year to show our love and appreciation to our love ones is a humiliation to them as we express our love to them throughout the whole year.
