You give Zakat on whatever gold and silver, and money you have in your bank
account at the end of a lunar year. Money is treated like silver in regards
to the threshold which is the value of 595 grams.

as I am getting older i need to learn how to pay zakat. I know how it works for gold/silver but what about money in bank? How does that work? On the day it’s due, do I have to calculate all my savings, or do I have to calculate how much I will earn that year and leave aside what I owe for the due date of zakat? I’m really confused about this matter
