Crying is permissible

i recently read that crying in prayer because of worldy things invalidates the prayer (ibn uthaymeen) is this the only opinion? if i am constantly in pain and put on a mask in public does this mean that i cant even complain to allah? hoe can i control myself if it comes naturally in tahajjud??
